a change in scenery and last name...

mike and gina were first introduced by family, but at the time gina thought mike was "a little weird." as family friends, mike and gina spent a lot of time together, but never went farther than friends. as time when on, mike developed a little crush and decided it was time to ask gina out. he left his phone number on the windshield of her car, asking her to call him. gina got the note, but gave it to her father, thinking mike had a question for him. after a phone call from gina's father, a small amount of confusion and finally a first date... mike and gina have been in attached at the hip. when mike was transfered to alaska for work, gina followed.

so when it came time to plan their wedding they decided to do a destination wedding, and took a road trip through washington and oregon in search of the perfect location. they were drawn to cave b inn & estate winery because of it's contrasting landscaping to alaska. other locations around washington offered the same lush greens of alaska, but cave b's basalt cliffs and sagebrush was so different they fell in love. it also helped that both were wine drinkers and included a wine mixing ceremony in their wedding.

staci and i had the most wonderful day with this beautiful couple... despite the ridiculous wind that almost moved the wedding indoors, me getting a black eye and staci wearing the brides flip-flops because her shoe broke... our cameras couldn't get enough of mike and gina... seriously... every image was amazing! thank you mike and gina for braving the wind and running all over cave b with us :) huge hugs and many blessings... go green bay! ;)
the beautiful florals were by camille of signature flowers and events. by far my favorite boutonnière ever!

what a photographic couple, the wind shots are just lovely... looks like you set up fans for that hair in the breeze effect. Great work gals!
