danna and jt's sweet honey wedding...

danna and jt are literally two of the most amazing people! they ooze love and admiration for one another, and you can't help smiling when you're around them! we feel so blessed to have such amazing couples! oh, and did we mention danna has an incredibly stylish eye! this girl designed her wedding around a honey bee and all things deliciously-golden sweet. yep, she's hands down super-star status! danna spent a lot of time diy-ing the majority of her details, and blew us away. the party favors, center pieces, seating chart, programs and more all played on the unique theme. everything was a touch vintage, a bit sweet and super classy! check out her ideas, cause you're gonna want to borrow some! ps... a man in a uniform was a total bonus! we're such lucky girls!

 the first look was priceless! we were glad we couldn't hear what jt said, 

but we could read lips and those words appreciated the view ;)

 during the father/daughter and mother/son dances it started to rain... this led to an all out dance party in the rain! no one held back, especially the bride and groom! danna and jt, you guys are simply wonderful! thank you for letting us be a part of your day, and we wish you all the luck in the future. god bless!

we want s'more of you...

dana and greg (aka brawny) were so much fun we forgot our toes were freezing! seriously, besides being gorgeous, these two are a riot! it's amazing how fun a photo shoot can be when a couple puts personal time and effort into finding the perfect location, outfit and props. greg and dana love the outdoors and camping. we decided to style a portion of their engagement session with old camping gear, hot coco and of course s'mores! i personally love the fact that greg put so much thought into their location AND it was his idea to wear flannel! yes, ladies... dana is one lucky girl because her man doesn't complain about taking pictures! ha! thank you dana and greg for such a wonderful afternoon. sorry for the frozen toes, but it was worth it! dana and greg... we want s'more of you two! hehe ;) god bless!

q: what is your favorite food?
j: sorry vegetarians, but it's bacon... i can't get enough of it! it makes ABSOLUTELY everything better. breakfasts, salads, appetizers and entrées. i'll actually eat carrots if they are cooked with bacon! aaahhh my weakness!
s: italian...that encompasses all my favorites! breads, pasta and sausage.

q: what inspires you?
j: everything... totally cheesy answer, but it's true. light, beautiful scenery, lines and great love stories. god is an incredible artist!
s: depends on my mood... usually good tunes, they get me motivated. healthy competition, traveling, fresh mountain air and my friends.

and jonda really isn't having a staring contest with the bride... it just looks hilarious!

q: if you could photograph anywhere in the world, where would you go?
j: greece... i love the ruins, architecture, sand and sea... it's a visual paradise. someday i'll take my honeymoon there!
s: depends on what i'm photographing, if it was a wedding or a couple then i would say somewhere like the greek isles, if it was scenery i would say africa, always wanted to go there.

q: if you could hang out with someone famous for a day who would it be?
j: angelina jolie. i find her interesting and incredibly beautiful.
s: this is a tough one...but ryan reynolds comes to mind. i'm thinking a day on the beach... with him shirtless...yep, that would work. ok, so for a less shallow answer i think the pioneer woman. random, i know, but i would love to spend a day at her ranch and witness all the escapades that occur on a daily basis.

we make sure you always look good. no wardrobe malfunctions! 

we even cuddle with our cameras for lighting checks... being realistic matters ;)

q: what is a completely random fact about you?

j: i have the ability to pick out the most expensive item in a store without meaning too... put 10 pairs of boots, loaves of bread or types of stationary in from of me and i'll pick the most expensive one. it doesn't matter if it's at a garage sale or the mall... it drives me crazy because i'm a little bit of a penny pincher!

s: i desperately wish i could dance, i mean like hip hop, breakdancing, beatbox, swing, etc. "so you think you can dance" kind of dancing.

q: what is something you dislike photographing?

j: my dog ellie... she will be doing something funny or cute and as soon as she hears the auto focus beep... she charges me... literally! the only way to get a picture so to be a millions miles away with a long  lens.

s: family pictures at weddings. they just don't leave room for much creativity.

we always make sure to communicate what we want our couples to do during posing... 

and i'm sure communications are always clear :)

there are two things that we feel are ABSOLUTELY a must for every couple choosing a wedding photographer...

first: you must LOVE your photographer's style. meaning... hire someone whose imagery speaks to you, and who has a similar vision for your wedding day. research, research, research!

second: you must LOVE your photographer/s personality. choose a photographer who makes you feel incredibly comfortable and who you know will be fun to hang out with on your wedding day. with all the wedding day stress, the last thing you need is someone who is rude, crude or has a weird sense of humor...

sooo...we want you to get to know us a little better. tuesdays will now feature a "tell all tuesday" post where we will answer silly questions, and give you a behind-the-scene look at what we do. it's definitely not rocket science, but we want you to laugh along with us as we do what we love. without further ado...

q: biggest pet peeve?

j: leaving the toilet seat up! ha! my husband doesn't do this, but i've had to "train" a few house guests. yep... not a quiet one when it comes to the toilet seat :)

s: really i have to pick just one... waiting. yeah definitely waiting, i'm not good at it.

q: what is your favorite thing to photograph?

j: easy... a man who loves his woman. my heart melts every time i come across an image that captures a brief moment of vulnerability that most men never show. it's in those moments so many unspoken thing are expressed and i get melty behind the lens... sigh...

s: thats easy... details. flowers, rings, shoes, etc.
