shelley & jared's colorful vintage wedding...

life is what happens while your busy making other plans. - john lennon

lately i've been extremely absent from blogging, facebook and all the other forms of social media. my only excuse... life has been happening.  i've had all these plans and good intentions of showing off several shoots, but those were "plans." i guess the good thing about being back is that there are so many incredible weddings and shoots coming your way, i might be forgiven ;)...

first on the long list... the wonderful wedding of shelly and jared. we adore this wedding because of all the handmade details, colors and the incredible church. as you look through these photos you will see that the brides hands were super busy leading up to the wedding. there is so much love and affection poured into every little detail, and it's that attention that makes this wedding amazing. all the flowers, banners, games and displays were personally made. the use of the historical church, the postcards that guests signed and the "hooray" banner on the cake. it's amazing!

shelly and jared... we are so excited you found each other, and can't wait to see where life takes you. thank you for letting us be a part of your wonderful day! god bless!

side note...the pioneer church is located in quincy. the church was built in 1904 by german-russian immigrants, and has been restored for the use of weddings and other faith based events. to keep this short and sweet... it's breathtaking.

hello little white church...
dear shelley... you are absolutely stunning! oh, and jared, you're pretty ok too! :)
instead of a traditional guest book... guests left messages for the bride and groom on a post card. the post cards will be received one at a time throughout the first year of their marriage. how fun is that?!
complete with lawn games including croquet, bocce and a bean bag toss.
we love, love, love, love the fruit stand! what a incredible idea and a wonderful gift to your guests!
