tell all tuesday...

q: what is your dream car?
j: an 1956 ford pickup truck. not a custom job, but a classic renovation. i have a crush on old things :)
s: do cars and trucks fit in the same category? ok let's break it down... dream truck is a 1938 restored chevy truck, bright red. my dream car is in two catagories... one i would love to drive on a daily basis is a red landrover and my dream "sunday drive"care would be a bright red circa 1960 corvette with white wall tires... is anyone sensing a theme? red!

q: when you have a day off, what do you do?
j: i love to read or bake. my husband says one of the main reasons he married me was because he loved my cookies... and he's a serious cookie snob! my recent favorite read has to be the hunger game series... i love strong female characters!
s: WORK... hahaha! good one right, too bad it's true. actually i like to bake on my moments off.

behold... one of the most beautiful shops to purchase all things bridal!!!! if you have a thing for modern vintage, then bhldn is the store for you!!! we want to get married again... sigh...

mirielle and jorge's {e} session...

we featured this adorable couple in our little valentines shoot, but that wasn't all we did with them. here are a few more images of them just being HOT! seriously there couple hotness level was a 10, and they are a kick in the pants too! we're huge suckers for eyes, and mirielle has the most incredible green eyes! we might have taken advantage of those eyes...loved them! 

we can't say this enough, but we ABSOLUTELY have the most wonderful couples in 2011!!!! mirielle and jorge, we can't wait to shoot your wedding!!! it's going to be epic :) hugs!

q: what is your favorite food?
j: sorry vegetarians, but it's bacon... i can't get enough of it! it makes ABSOLUTELY everything better. breakfasts, salads, appetizers and entrées. i'll actually eat carrots if they are cooked with bacon! aaahhh my weakness!
s: italian...that encompasses all my favorites! breads, pasta and sausage.

q: what inspires you?
j: everything... totally cheesy answer, but it's true. light, beautiful scenery, lines and great love stories. god is an incredible artist!
s: depends on my mood... usually good tunes, they get me motivated. healthy competition, traveling, fresh mountain air and my friends.

happy valentine's day....

last week we had the privilege of shooting one of our amazing couples for 2011... and they were fabulous! when i asked mirielle and jorge if they would mind humoring me with some shots for valentine's day, they got more than i bargained for... a whole slew of super fun photos!

mirielle and jorge have been together since they were 15... they shared their first kiss on the playground after a science fair, and he teases her that "she forced him to kiss her." my favorite detail of this session were the love letters from jorge... they were simply adorable! we love guys, who love their women... sigh... :)

thank you mirielle and jorge for playing with taffy lips and confittie, freezing your buns off and looking gorgeous despite the cold! happy valentine's day everyone. please take the times to tell those you love... that you love them. many hugs and smooches today!

q: if you could photograph anywhere in the world, where would you go?
j: greece... i love the ruins, architecture, sand and sea... it's a visual paradise. someday i'll take my honeymoon there!
s: depends on what i'm photographing, if it was a wedding or a couple then i would say somewhere like the greek isles, if it was scenery i would say africa, always wanted to go there.

q: if you could hang out with someone famous for a day who would it be?
j: angelina jolie. i find her interesting and incredibly beautiful.
s: this is a tough one...but ryan reynolds comes to mind. i'm thinking a day on the beach... with him shirtless...yep, that would work. ok, so for a less shallow answer i think the pioneer woman. random, i know, but i would love to spend a day at her ranch and witness all the escapades that occur on a daily basis.

we make sure you always look good. no wardrobe malfunctions! 

we even cuddle with our cameras for lighting checks... being realistic matters ;)

ok i know this is another cake topper, but there was no resisting....mini felt pinwheels. we were actually thinking boutonnieres and then larger ones for the girls to carry when we saw this. don't get us wrong cupcake topper is awesome, but how cool would these look at boutonnieres? check it out at knock knocking.

q: what is a completely random fact about you?

j: i have the ability to pick out the most expensive item in a store without meaning too... put 10 pairs of boots, loaves of bread or types of stationary in from of me and i'll pick the most expensive one. it doesn't matter if it's at a garage sale or the mall... it drives me crazy because i'm a little bit of a penny pincher!

s: i desperately wish i could dance, i mean like hip hop, breakdancing, beatbox, swing, etc. "so you think you can dance" kind of dancing.

q: what is something you dislike photographing?

j: my dog ellie... she will be doing something funny or cute and as soon as she hears the auto focus beep... she charges me... literally! the only way to get a picture so to be a millions miles away with a long  lens.

s: family pictures at weddings. they just don't leave room for much creativity.

we always make sure to communicate what we want our couples to do during posing... 

and i'm sure communications are always clear :)
